LOL, maybe we need to give you guys your own section of the board. We could call it "The fishing antics"....I mean "The Fishing Adventures of Flathunter and Mellon!" LOL How many miles to get shad? We've driven about 150 miles for skipjacks before! When they weren't running here. That was a long day, but we caught about 250 skips that day.

I know the feeling, but in my case it's me that can't throw one!! LOL Bob is the designated shad-getter on our boat! LOL

Jack, you are either one heck of a glutton for punishment or you are going above and beyond brotherly love when it comes to Mellon

is it that he can't throw the net or he is smart to ACT like he can't throw it. I bet if he was out by himself hed manage to get shad. but a smart man. i am pretty sure that's what all my buddies do, act like they cant throw so i can stand up there and throw my arm out.

    I'm
    Sick and Tired
of reading a starting post where we are waiting for a promised story.....

Meanwhile, the thread grows and grows!
Somewhere down the line on page 6, the "story" will be given.
Then several more pages of chat.....

Then a poor soul like me comes along and sees this thread, and has to go through every single page "looking" for the "story".

    Or, the "story" is
    Never
given on this thread at all, but started on a new one!

It's enough to make a catter....
    CRAZY!

I guess the short version, I thought old Flat would chime in w/ more:

A got a call from a very excited Flathunter saying there were THOUSANDS of SHAD schholing up. One throw w/ the net equals a full 5 gallon buckett full. I live 140 miles (round trip away), it's 10AM on a workday. I leave on what is suspose to be just a long lunch break..... 5+ hours later, I return! The shad were there but not like the day before.!!! :smile2:  :smile2: Always a day late & a dollar short.
