I have chosen and cropped some pics I took over the past couple months. I am attaching them in the this thread - in this post and the next 5 posts. I do this for fun, I'm not pro or anything. Just wanted to see what you all think of it...

Jon, I think you're doing a great job with your photography, very nice pictures. Thank you for allowing us to see them. I myself am drawn to the more colorful ones....I like longearhooked (nice closeup), morninglory (the crispness of the flower against the hazier background), pasture (what a BLUE sky!) and goldenfield (might not be grain, but it sure reminded me of the song "America the Beautiful"). I also like the shot of the bird, looks to be some sort of hawk. Maybe someone could identify the particular kind for us? Keep postin' buddy, we'd love to see some more. :smile2:

Sorry for having to double-post, it won't let me edit after a few minutes or something?

Agreed, I'm gonna get back into photos, I just never end up bringing my camera anywheres, and my past one was crappy. I just got a pretty nice digital camera from my sister (4megapixel) as she just got a new, even better camera for her birthday!

Oh and I realize that this site makes your pictures lose quality and reduce in size....actually I reallllly want that Harpeth Autumn as my background on this computer...

I also have a few pictures, not nearly as good as yours, they didn't come out great..I really wish I woulda had my good camera for Lake Guerrero, maybe a once-in-a-lifetime deal goin there.:smile2:

Sorry don't know what all the crap on the lens is.

Great pics, Jon! Thanks for sharing them. I don't think I could pick a favorite!

I do believe the bird is a hawk or falcon perhaps. Sure hope a true bird watcher can tell us. Have you ever heard a whipper-will? Have you seen one? The spelling isn't right but if you search you can find a pic of one.

Take care and keep clicking the pics, just don't forget to share.

thanks everyone. I guess I needed some more opinions on my work. I don't want to be a pro or anything but I wanna make sure I'm at least a little good. Thanks again, and reps to you all.
