My personal best striper

    I thought I would share my catch with you. I caught this 35 lb striper over on the James river last sunday while fishing for blues with cut herring for bait. I've caught small stripers around 10 lbs or so but this is my personal best, so far.

    Congratulations. That's a pretty fish. We don't have stripers here but there are some hybrids that were stocked a few years back; i've caught about a 2 lber, that's it.

    Congratulations. I assume you were on the James River in VA. That was a big Ocean Striper. They have spawned out and gone now. Won't see the big ones in the river again until next March.
