I think you should get many years of enjoyment out of them Penn reels. I've got a penn#9 which is over 25 years old and still looks and performs like a brand new reel. Good Luck Bro!

Penn makes solid equipment which has stood the test of time. I hope you get many good years and fish with your new Penn. Good luck.

THE WAY I FIGURED IT IS EVEN IF I GET 10 YEARS OUT OF IT...IT WAS WORHT IT.....

THE OTHER THING IS THAT THE ARE BY FAR THE BBEEFYIEST LOOKING / MADE REELS I COULD FIND FOR UNDER $60 THE NEXT WERE LIKE 120 +

THEY HAVE TRULEY AND HONESTLY BEEN PROVEN BY TIME..... AND MOST LIKELY WILL LAST ME ALOT LONGER THAN A FEW YEARS :laugh1:

Leroy congrats on the 209 Penn reels. They are a workhorse. I own a few and they have been trouble free.

I am still fishing with my Grandfathers' Penn Levelmatic 940s. Those reels are probably 50 years old and still work excellent. I use them in the saltwater croaker fishing all summer long.
