Hey everybody, I hope that everyone's weekend was really good as well as safe. I got a chance to go out last Friday night with my son and my fishing buddies. We hit one of our usual spots and found that the water was up by about a foot and a half with little current. I was kind of annoyed because when we got there, we found that someone had happened on to our spot and left litter all over the place:angry: . We rigged our lines with both live blue gills and cut up parts. Right away my son hooked into a nice sized striper and not long after my buddy Chris pulled in a nice eater sized flattie. As the sun whent down it got a little cold so we kicked up a good fire and started trash talkin eachother as usual. At around 10:30, we were going to pack up and head out since we hadnt gotten any action for some time. Right on cue, the rod closest to me gets yanked real hard, I grab it and set the hook as the line starts to peel off! I knew right away that this was bigger than most fish I have ever caught. Long story short. After fighting for a few minutes, I pull in the biggest channel cat I have ever caught! My buddy netted the fish wich weighed in at over 26lbs! My first catfish over 20lbs YES! We took some pics and realeased it back, the flattie and the striper came home with us. In the release pic you can see the litter in the background:angry: . We cleaned up before we took off. Hopefully the pics attach correctly!
