Well, I was away from the forum for a while. I managed to go the summer without even turning on the TV or XBOX. A few years ago I would say impossible. Well with so much free time to do something productive I fished almost 7 days a week. Needless to say many fish were caught and many methods practiced, much new gear bought as well, The summer without TV yielded some excellent results. The following pictures are of my carp from the beautiful Chilhowee Lake. A true drag burner (MY Abu 6000 drag actually ceased to function after this catch). At first it caught itself in a snag but after wading in and maneuvering it came free, 10 minutes later it came to the bank.

That is a great fish! You must have worked out a lot of bugs being able to fish so much this summer. What did you catch it on?

That lake sure looks pretty too!

Not an Ugly Stick, but a Berkly Lightning Rod and Abu 6000 baitcaster. It was caught in 60 degree water on hair rigged sweet corn and K-1 Maize in Juicy Tutti Frutty flavor.

Great Fish!!!! You have alot of restraint CPRing it. That is alot of cut bait there chief. That'd last a 4 or 5 day trip. Nice catch.

Nice fish mc...they really give you a workout, eh?

Around here that fish would give a family of 4 several nice meals or get a good price in the restaurant trade
