    What would you do..
    If you had a young man approach you one day and tell you;
    "Sir, I'm sorry to interupt you but, My name is Jordan, by any chance do you still have the boat you bought from Mr. J?" "Yes, I do. Why?"
    " Well sir, my Grandfather sold that boat to Mr. J about 18mos ago, Would you consider selling it?"

    He said " Yeah, I'll sell it to you." looked at me and smiled, " I'll take Forty-Five Hundred dollars for it."

    The boat is a 1993 AlumaWeld 15.5' 46'' all welded. Had a 2004 Yamaha 15hp 4-stroke and a used trailer. The set up is worth about $3,000 That would be a sensible amount for my budget.

    I'm 18, I was three when my grandfather bought it new at Shipps Marine. I remember every fishing trip, every outboard, every replacement fuel line, drain-plug, Most of the hundreds of fish we caught, And all of the Good Times.
    Thank you for reading this I'm just a little bummed out about it.
    Everyone have fun be safe

    Offer him what it's worth to you (not necessarily what it's worth).

    If he takes it, fine, if not, move on...you've done all you can do.

    Young man, no matter what shape the boat is in and what the value is, nothing can replace the memories that you already have. A or Any boat is just a boat..... it floats...... but it is what you do with or did with that boat that makes the memories which will outlast any boat on the market. Dont stoop down to this persons level but maintain and hold your head up knowing that he has just got a boat not your memories.

    Young fellow:: I can hear and feel you have some great memories of your grandfather and the boat. I hope when my grand kids are 18 they have memories of me,like you have of your grandfather.:wink:
    Offer the man what the boat is worth and no more. The boat is worth 3000 to you, the memories are priceless. God bless you son. If I'd had the boat, with the story you just told I believe I would have given you the boat for whatever price you had said.
