My first lower unit oil change

    I changed my first lower unit oil today! I have an older boat motor and God only knows how old the oil was in it when I changed it, it came out tan and goopy like pancake syrup. No metal shavings though and everything seems to be in good condition. Replaced it with some much better oil.

    For the ease of changing it I don't know why it's hard for people to maintain their things.

    I thought if it was tanned then it had water in it? I could be wrong.

    he wrote that it was tan, but like pancake syrup, I was thinking pancake syrup looks kind of like water free gear oil, but you're right milky tan would be water.

    Yeah, it was milky tan.
