I just read a post where Rockbass talked about seeing a catfish tourny taking blues at Atwood. I have been fishing in tornaments at Seneca that have a seperate payout for blue cats. Guys talk about catching them but I have never seen one come out of that lake. Are they talking about channels that have a blue tint or what?

I very seriously doubt that there are any blues in the MWCD lakes. I would say that they are catching male channels and calling them blues. Sure wish I had a dollar for everytime that someone told me they caught a blue that was a channel. They are raising blues at the Hebron fish hatchery now and they are supposed to be stocked into Dillon Lake this fall.

I'm the same way. I have no knowledge of actual BLUE cats being stocked in any of the MWCD lakes. Could someone have brought one there and released it? Sure. BUT the Blues these people talk about are 99.99999% likely to be the male channels.

Like Jason said.....if I had a dollar......

It never fails I will run into someone at the lakes that will tell me they caught a blue cat. They get confused when I explain they are male channels. :wink:

They are definately Blues in there guys..There is a group Of men going to all these paylakes stocking 300gallon rubbermaid tanks and dumping them everywhere.

I know you are new to posting on this site jimmy, but please explain what you said so we can understand it.

You say there are blue cats in the MWCD lakes? and your support of this is that a group of men are going to paylakes and dumping them everywhere?

So are you saying they are taking the blues out of the paylakes and dumping them into the lakes? OR they are taking them from the lakes putting them into the paylakes? Either way it doesn't make sense. They can't take blues from lakes without them. and I have never heard of any paylakes that allow you to keep any of there fish exept maybe some channels.
