i looked everywhere for a good graphite rod to handle big blues and decided on basspro or cabelas graphite musky rods. they come in several lengths and actions and are affordable. i have 3 6'3" x hvy that i use for drifting and have landed 35 lb blues with no problem. i also have a 7 1/2 hvy that i drag with and it works well too

I agree I have the 6'3" Bps musky x-heavy and have landed up to a 33lb flathead. They are strong rods.

Are you guys talking about Pete Maninas musky rods. if so those rods are nice. Thier made for big fish and handle them well. I have 3 of those rods. A 7'4", and two 7'6" models. St. Croix also makes some real nice musky rods that work well for cats. I like the 8' models.
