Hi All. Well I made it down to the river by 4. Caught 10 warmouths for bait by 5. River is a lil' high but fishable. Was placing baits about 15 feet from the bank. Had 4 good runs, and go figure; missed everyone of them. probally should of let them run a bit more. But back of my mind is saying bigger hook with a thinner diameter, may improve hookup. But had a good time anyway. Will probally try again tomorrow after I get the wheel bearings done.:cool2:

What kind of hooks were you using? I use 9 and 10/0 gamma octopus hooks. If I set before I let them load up on the rod the hook and bait comes out usually. Make them load up on the rod and they will clamp down on the bait cause they feel it slipping and think their meal is getting away. Hope this helps.
