What would you consider to be the best pool to catch a monster flathead in the Muskingum River????

As a general rule the water has a greater average depth the farther south you go. I hear of more 60+ lb fish from McConnelsville on down to the Ohio river. Once you hit the lottery, you can buy some gas and head that way lol. There is alot of water to cover. Good luck.

I have to agree with Skip, there are fish in the 20-40 pound caught often in the upper end of the muskingum and south of it, but the real brutes are caught on the lower sections of the river every year. your best bet at a 50-80 pound flathead would probably be down there.....rollo

I disagree with my esteemed brethren. I think there is less pressure and bigger fish on the upper end. Now, if I could just get one over 12 lbs lol!
    Better head to Devola lol!
