Was gonna head to a lake this evening, but after seeing how fast the river was rising decided to hit a few spots on it instead, not knowing lake conditions. We only managed a couple runs, channel cats didn't seem to be active much. River temp. was 61.7 deg. I caught this nice flathead this evening on a hand-sized live green sunfish. It hit on an inside-bend slack area. We would have stayed longer tonight, but the son is running a fever so I came home:sad2: . It weighed 28.2 pounds..... rollo

Props for fishing during the right conditions and props for getting back to your sick child! You busted a nice fish and got back!

I'm glad to see you are sticking to the rivers and not impoundments!:smile2::cool2:
