Muskingum River flathead catfish

    Since I finally took the time to figure out how to upload on here, I'm going to try to post some pics of my personal best flathead I caught last Sept. from the Muskingum. These are stills from a video I took so the pics are a little fuzzy. It was a nice 35lber, not the biggest we've seen on this site, but it should start to get everyone ready for this spring.

    thats a nice lookin fish....its about that time again!!!i went to dillon lake and fished the licking river side of the dam and got a few bites im gonna try tomorrow ans see if i get anything but im gettin out early

    Caught it with a 9 in. goldfish on a float rig in 5 ft. of water just off the bank.

    in case you guys wanna know....water temp. was 38 degrees today on the muskingum.

    catfishrollo, anytime you want to update the water temp would be a godsend lol. I always try to post a water temp if I go out. Where are you doing most of your fishing " POOL" wise? I'm trying to find out if the river is warmer in the spring, above the Y-bridge dam, or below, where the Licking comes in and adds either warmer or colder water.

    s man... the temp. that i gave yesterday was out of the dresden area...i will try to get another one this weekend again...i spend most of my time from coshocton to ellis dam.. i usually do some early spring scouting, if i go for a long float this weekend i will watch to see if there is any variation in water temps. with different areas...
