Well, against my better judgement I went to hit a couple of flooded spots for an hour here by my house, should have stayed home. I wore my waders which I forgot had sprung a leak, and all of the melting snow has dropped the water temps. considerably. I couldn't fish where I intended on going, but still fished an area that has been productive for channels in the past this time of the year..End result...no bites, wet feet, and some frozen extremeties! lol....maybe by the end of next week things will start turning around! rollo

i think thats why. cold is cold, but this water was frigid! i have caught fish here this time of year before, but I don't think any of them were moved that shallow because of the water temps. maybe we can hit it next week again skip. it is a good spot..rollo

I'd rather fish with ryang. Least he can get bait at the store.

I'm still waiting for some open water on Spencer Lake. Maybe by this weekend.

I always heard it's best to downsize your bait in the winter anyways.
