Does anybody know of public access on the Muscatatuck River?
Crosely wildlife refuge may have one. I would call to confirm.
Heres a link showing public access sites:
I fished the mascatatuck when i was a kid with my dad and grandpa, alot of smallmouth. Did not do any catfishing back then, but they are in there. They have good acess sites, enjoy your trip.
There is an intresting site on the river just south of the hiway 3 bridge. years ago, a guy blasted a tunnel through the bottom of a ridge to divert water to a grist mill. I used to dig fossles there in the shale rock. its worth a walk around.
