headed out friday night with one of my buddies sons and his best friend to try and get them on some fish.
we headed to one of my spots at the back of a main cove but there was a floatilla of partying pontoon boats on my spot, so we headed to the other end of the lake and set up, after an hour with only one fish and several bites the action was way to slow for my taste.
off to a main lake point that has always produced well for me, that is where the kids decided they were going to be my new full time fishing partners..lol..within 20 minuts the channels were hiting about as fast as we could keep up with, even multiple doubles thru out the night, by 2:30 we packed it in, catching well over a dozen nice channels from 7lb up to around 20lbs and 35'' in length for the largest, nothing more pleasurable than to see the look on a kids face when he reels in his first real hawg and says i'm not touching it...lol...then i say, heres the gloves, nobody gets on my boat without handling thier own fish!!!

 ...sigh... When there's a mexican for every square foot of Heritage lake.... don't say I didn't try to warn ya about open forum posting! lol:struggle:

well bill, that is the great thing about heritage lake, it is a 380 acre PRIVATE lake that only home/land owners and guests are allowed to fish, and it puts out hawg fish of every species year after year, from 50lb flaties, 6lb smallies, 15lb wipers, 28lb channels 8lb walleye all the way down to 12'' plus gills. and the security wont hesitate to ask ya for your p.o.a. card, so if the non owners think they can come in and fish without me, my buddies or security catching them they are wrong...lol

even on public waters it doesent bother me to make a post of when and where, i have nothing to hide, most people wont get to where i fish anyway, the only thing i keep under my hat are the walleye, since they dont reproduce naturaly in indiana, they are not as easy to find as the cats.
besides even when i post about catching fish in the logjams on white river, or tribs of the bash, knowing how to fish them and which ones to fish leaves plenty for them to figure out.
