Around Silverton, Co. I don't know the exact location, but my dad has a buddy that is giving us tips on where to go. He lives around there and is a heck of a Elk hunter

Nice bucks. I'd love to hunt Mulies once before I go. I've never seen one in the wild.

Ya that is the word. Hope that keeps some of the hunting pressure down. Do you know what kind of weather to expect around there? I just don't know, we will be there in mid Sept, around 9 to 10 K feet.

you shouls exspect for highs mid 70's,low 70's,night round 30's to 50's as for weather rain mostlythis time of yr but then again this Colorado!! snow flurries maybe wind heck just exspect it all ....Dress in layers so you can take off the extra clothes to be comfortable while your out hunting, bring rain gear.bring aspren for high altitude headaches!!also tums for muscle cramps!!! it would also be good to get here a dat or 2 eailer so your body can adjust.if i can help anymore just let me know, not to long before you come out wish you the best while your out here be safe and good hunting.
