Got out to the Ona Dam for a couple hours this afternoon.
A 3 1/2, and a 5 lb Carp And..well, I am still not sure what it was.. Had the body and mouth of a fair sized Rock Bass but the colors of a White Crappie. Do they interbreed? It has me stumped.

My guess is perhaps a hybrid striper. What do I know. LOL!

Without a pic that is a good guess, but I have caught more of those Hybrids than I can shake a stick at, large and small, unless it was a mutant it was not one of those.

Picture a fresh-water rock bass, 10 or so inches, with the colors of a white Crappie.
I don't know, maybe the high muddy water faded the color. Come to think of it, the Carp were not the bright orange that the usually are round here. Maybe that is the answer.

    Thoughts?
