Does anybody know how the fishing went on Mtn. Island Lake on February 28, 2009?
I would say they probably got pretty wet like we did on Wateree:smile2:
Wateree winners had a 3 fish total of 93 pounds which included a 50 pounder. Is NC CAts still using the 5 fish format??
They are using the five fish limit except on LKN and Badin, I think, but I'm not sure. WylieCat will know.
That was a good catch on Wateree. WOW!
Yea, Mac is right. The 5 fish limit stands except for Badin and LKN....
I think Randy Rhineheart won with a total of 40 something with a big fish of 38lbs. Omar and partner was second .
"....WylieCat will know...."
I have no clue about their tournaments anymore.
The website is gone, the e-mails no longer are circulated, and they are not publicizing the events.
The tournament on Feb. 28th at Mt. Island had only six teams due to the weather and other tournaments going at the same time. Payout was for top two which was three fish totaling 40lbs for first and two fish at a 31lbs total for second. Big fish was Tony Hollar's 37lb blue.
The remaining 2009 schedule for NCCATS is as follows:
March 14 at Tillery 7 am - 3 pm, at Stony Mt./Cooks Marina.
April 18 at Hickory 7 pm - 8 am, at Whittenburg.
May 2 at Badin 7 pm - 8 am, at Badin Works/Alcoa.
June 6 at Norman 7 pm - 8 am, at Pinnacle.
August 1 at Santee-Cooper 7 pm - 8 am at Black's Camp.
August 15 at High Rock 7 pm - 8 am at Dutch Second Creek.
September 5 at Mt. Island 7 pm - 8 am at Riverbend.
Entry fee is $80 per boat which includes $10 toward big fish pot.

Sounds like a bad bite on MIL. 40 pounds is a really low weight for that tournament.
