I took my daughter out before dark around June 24th and she caught 3 small blues in the middle part of the lake near Gar Creek cove. She had a blast reeling them in. I ended up cleaning them so we could show mommy.

June 28th I went up river looking for flatheads. Caught 3 in the range of 4-7 pds. Also caught 4 blues/channels under 5 pds.

This morning (7-3-09) I caught 8 in a little over two hours before going to work. Lost two with some weight. The circle hooks didn't do the job. Sizes ranged from 2 -15 pds. Caught in the upper part of the lake. Used sunfish all thee times.

Shrew, what type of hook are you using? with the red Gamakatsu I have better luck off-setting them a little(this is the only hook that I bend).
