I will be moving to Winston Salem soon and am wondering what are some good lakes to catch cats in in the area?

Closest lake will be High Rock Lake about 35 minutes away. Has an abundance of 3-7 pound channel cats, some good 20 pound + flatties, but never seen a blue caught there.

Next closest is Badin Lake about 60 minutes away. It has some channel cats, but is known for its enormous flat heads and blues. Not uncommon at all to catch 50 pounders there.

    Welcome to Winston...............

You can't go wrong with Badin, High rock, and my favorite Tillery. Badin probably holds the biggest blues , you can probably catch more in Tillery, I know by reports that High Rock has good flatheads.
