Was wondering if anyone had some advice on cast netting shad or bream in Moultrie. We've been getting skunked and it seems like everyone has better luck with fresh bait on their hook. Usually put the boat in off West Dike and fish the SW corner, I assume near where the July 4th smackdown just occurred. Is the hatchery a decent place to try, or will they be out in deeper water. It's a big lake to be chucking an 8 foot cast net in random spots and hoping for the best (while trying not to trash the new net on a snag). We will be heading out around 6 am this Friday. Thanks for any help.

couldnt tell you where but just a heads up, it is illegal to obtain any game fish such as bream by any means other than hook and line. wouldn't want to see you get fined. for other lakes look for wind blown coves or banks for shad, so i imagine moultrie is the same. good luck
