Got back up to the lake Friday. Was real windy to begin with but calmed down after lunch. Water temp was around 55. Winds between 5-15 mph. towards the East. Fished from 15'-40' with blueback herring. Had a hard time locating fish. They seem to be scattered out right now. Caught 2 stragglers before lunch. At about 3 pm finally started marking some fish and caught 7 more in about an hour. All were about 3-8 lbs. Good eating size but nothing to brag about. We still had a good time.

That sounds like a wonderful day fishing to me.

Good deal Jason. Wish I lived close enough to Santee to just go whenever I wanted.

It's about 90 miles to Santee from the house. I wish I could go every weekend but that's not going to happen.
