The U.S. Treasury said last week that a problem with some Wisconsin quarters was bigger than originally thought. Because of a glitch, 50,000 -- not 1,000 -- of the quarters have what appears to be an extra leaf on an ear of corn on the quarter. And now the Treasury is telling us today that there is a problem with the Mississippi quarter Hang on to any of the new State of Mississippi quarters. If you have them, they may be worth much more than 25 cents. The U.S. Treasury says its recalling all of the Mississippi quarters after numerous reports that new quarters will not work in parking meters, toll booths, vending machines, pay phones, or other coin-operated devices. The problem lies in the unique design of the Mississippi quarter. Apparently, the duct tape holding the two dimes and the nickel together keeps jamming the coin-operated machines. I'll be here all weekend try the veal!
