Clear Lake is starting up a boat inspection for mussels.... Your boat (if you have one) needs to be inspected and certified before going out fishing.... Is this more "hype"... or just another way to get $$ from the fishing public?

They are a pretty big deal. We have them in some of the lakes here in Kansas, its very imperative to not transfer them.

All boats that are not registered in Lake County are required to be inspected each month, and purchase a color coded band.
Boaters will be required to fill out a form and certifying that the boat has not been in a quagga or zebra infested body of water in 30 days....
Boaters who have their boat registered in Lake County will not have to get a monthly sticker.... but will be required to get a residency sticker which will be valid indefinitely..... :eek:oooh:

Well sounds like if I go up that way, it is not going to be an easy fix on a "three day weekend".... :eek:oooh:.. I'm not working... will fit in ok..

Can't wait to hit the lake.... been driving by the lake three times on the way to Oregon ....river fishing....

    Merry Christmas
