Ok, so I couldn't wait until next year. Went after work and fished for about 2 hours with my buddy phil. We ended up with 4 flatheads that went 68 lbs total. A 10,16,18,24. Should of had 5 others. Phil had a nice fish come unbuttoned from a circle hook after fighting it for a couple of minutes. I broke 80lb power pro on the hookset on one. I think the line got frayed on rocks. Overall we had a blast with all of the non-stop action. I was really hoping for some bigger fish and who knows how big the ones we missed were. It just sucks to miss so many fish. The action seemed to slow when the moon started to come up.

Nice fish guys. I wanted to head out but the rain hasn't broken all night. Saturday looks like it's going to be really good to go too.

If you don't mind me asking, what were you guys using for bait?

Let me get this straight Adam. You go cold turkey for a couple of months then you slay 'em right out of the gate? Then you immediately go out for more? Admit it man. You're a Flataholic:wink: All kidding aside congrats on the nice Flatheads. Glad you're making up for lost time!

I like the trashbag as a fishmat.

Putting them on hardened soil can't be good for their skin.

I'm trying like hell to get out tonight for a couple of hours, with this rain Friday and Saturday may fish really well. Seemed like the flatheads are having a distinct liking towards cut bait, really it seemed like cut heads more than anything

We used cut anything because that's all I could get, not many shad at all which is my preference. I would love to have a dozen 15inch shad for tonight!
