Another interesting find regarding local dams.......

About half way down the page is a list of dams possibly targeted for removal

Yea I've read about the removal of the Cape fear dams a couple of times, i dont know though I dont know alot about this stuff... but if they follow through hopefully it goes as planned and makes the fishery better.

Just curious what this would mean for fishing upriver of the dam. The dam I have in mind is Milburnie dam in Raleigh. I know thats where the flathead fishing starts and that they are not between there and Falls Lake. Would the removal of this dam allow flatties to move further upriver to Falls Dam?

nevermind.....I read the article and it answered all my questions...I just hope they take out Milburnie dam and do it soon. Falls dam is right down the road from me and Milburnie is not.
