The mooneye were on the blitz today we caught 60 in 2 hrs some up to 2 lbs. Fishen the mayfly hatch on the gasconade where it dumps into the MO. Pull up to a overhangen tree anchor within paddle reach. slap the tree limbs knock mayflys in the water ( a swarm). Bait a no 6 hook with 2 or 3 mayflys under a bobber and split shot a ft deep toss out in the feeding frenzy, jig and hang on. A blast to catch with kidds. The action is non stop. And they make great bait cut into chunks and frozen. Beats cast netten any day lol. So next time ya see a big mayfly hatch on ya river give it a try.

Man you have no idea how glad I am that you are on here since you know a lot about the local (to me) waters. :smile2: Now if only the River would drop down to a decent fishing level.
