Hit the Potomac river today at about 5am. Fished a good solid 10 hours wich is about 2 tide changes. Was with Tony (adamant) and we had a blast. Went with a guide down there. We hamered em. Tony got a 46#er and several in the 20's. I got a 43# 49#er and several in the 20's. Used fresh shad with a carolina rig, 8 ounces of lead and a 10/0 kahle hook. Got my first taste of gill nettin shad today. Its like stealin. LOL! Most of the action took place durein the first couple hours of a tide change. Caught em deep early and shallow when the sun started to hit the water. Did I mention that the Potomac is a kick a$$ river. LOL! Heres a few pics. THANX!

It may be but I sure wouldn't eat any fish that came out of that water. I've read the data sheets on that rivers water and it's NOT good NOT good at ALL..

    Congrats on the catch.

Aw man, come on...! There are brothers in the BOC that eat catfish out of the OHIO RIVER, for goodness sakes!:wink:

Congratulations on the great adventure and even greater catch, O Masterfully Bearded One. I told you that you need to move down this way!
