Hey Trunk. We wont get to boat launch till bout 7. Plan for rain and dress accordingly. We will ride out ANY weather we encounter.

Channels were hungry lastnight. 11" bullhead nabbed a few too many times.

Releases from the damn got pushed up to 27k till 24th on current modeling. Should be smooth sailing in most spots. Was out at Clay County park yesterday eating lunch and a whole load of fed and state guys were putting in. Talked with them a bit and they said the state put in to do some heavy bank stabilization along that stretch just upstream of ramp and downstream to the second point. Might help carve a deeper channel down from SD to NEB side?

Bite was on in my section of the MO last night until the cloud cover left and moon came out then the fish kind of turned off for the rest of the night. Lost a 25lb+ flatty trying to net/grab it into the boat in fast water. How you guys usually land your fish when anchored in the fast stuff, side of boat or rear?

I wish we had fish porn, but i like this one. Thanks for making room for me. On my way home i hit some bait spots..stumbled upon a grad student electrofishing/studing creeks. He told me something very very intriguing, we need to talk soon..

Cool trunk , I will gladly listen to what you have learned ;) . That grad student must be from SDSU as I don't think we have any doing the electro yet

Only got out Friday night. Only got 1 fish in the boat. A nice 20 lber.
River is up some. Water temps were 74. Was able to run from Clay Co launch the mouth of the Vermillion River. Even ran about 2 miles up that. My side scan showed literally THOUSANDS of Asian carp stacked in the river.

Def another nice one! Sad to say I didn't even get out. Got stuck with a few home projects. Heard people are slaying the eater size channels up by Gavins.

I have had several people say they was real good , just remove the Y bones . I want to try some first and then we have a meet and greet for the biology dept so I wanted a bunch for a fish fry . From my understanding is you need to ice them down as soon as they get in the boat or they get soft real quick .

Made less than smart choice last night and said f'it and went out at like 8:00. Got setup on our spot bout 9 or so and the free fireworks show started so we pulled into inlet to ride it out. Damn storm lasted till bout 3:30 or so before we could hit road back to dock. Rough night.... Ended up with a couple post spawn males and a knarly flathead that had at one point a broken back bout 12lbs or so.
