As a reminder, Missouri residents are entitled to a $.17 per gallon refund for all motor fuel used for marine purposes.

Simply save your receipts and fill out the paperwork. You have until April 15 of the year following the purchase date to claim your refund.

    http://dor.mo.gov/tax/business/fuel/forms/

You need to fill out forms 4923, 4924 and 4925 -- 4924 is only required on the first claim and then only if your address or other information changes on subsequent claims.

I just dropped my refund claim for 2007 in the mail. $800 of fuel purchased resulted in a refund of $49.30. Not a lot, but it's my money and I want it!

You sign your name at the bottom of the form. That's about it.

Remember it's not just for marine purposes.

It's for anything offroad if that is what you fill out the application form for.

I do it for the boat, PWC, ATV, and all Lawn equipement gas I buy.

I just write "Off-Road use" on the top of all my receipts.

    Did about 500gal last year.
