Last time i was there I didn't catch any fish, but there was a nice hole were it enter the MO river.
Up the nish was extremely shallow in the 2-3 ft range.

Fishing was slower there than other parts of the river, but it was fun. We landed a 40 lb blue on a water dog on a throw line and released him. Took it slow up to the landing, but on the main water, a few channels, few flaties and the one blue. Not bad, but not as productive as further south for us.

:big_smile:I fish the mouth of the Nishna up to about Farragut. Just north of Hamburg the Nishna splits east and west. Boat ramps at Hamburg,IA ,Riverton, IA, and at Watson, MO. Some pretty nice fish.
