Thats a nice one, I need one of those to jump on my hook this weekend
Well Willie, you'll just have to go out and get one that beats the old man's.
It's cool you both fish and a little friendly competition is a good thing.
from the bank, he said he let it driff down under that barge in front of the grainery, Im going down there this weekend to try my luck
Are you talking about the flood gates right past that renovated bridge. ??
always seen people their fishing.
Its before that
If you get 70
you get off at grand, go tured the river
cross the train tracks the street gonna turn right
take the first street on your left, it will take you right to the flood gates
Thanks for the pics and story Willie.
that's a dandy!! My buddy caught a 47lb flathead not too long ago.
Great job Willie. Nice fish, exp. now when no one is catching anything.
Congrats!! That thing is a Brute!!
Thats what I'm talkin 'bout. A little father/son rivalry. Don't let em hold the record too long Willie, He may have taught you everything he knows about fishing but not everything YOU know. Go get 'em.
Willie, tell your pops congratulations on that HOG of a fish. That is a LOT of nuggets!!!
Thanks for sharing your Dads story and photos Willie. Thats one great shovel head. The state record flat head only weighed 77 pounds. (rod and reel) I'm very confident that the 77 pound record will be broken in the next year or so. There is a LOT of big shovel heads out there and very very few folks fish for them. Everyone has "BlueMania". Pass on the Congrats to your Ol Man from all of us in BOC Land.
That's an awesome fish. Thanks for sharing the pics.
