Mississippi River eels

    Does anybody eat eels from the Mississippi river?

    I never have ate any but I here they are pretty good eating, wife's grandpa used to catch some in his nets and sell them. I just don't know if I could bring myself to catch, dress, cook, or eat them though.

    :smile2: Ate them when we were fishing the Miss.used to get them on our trotlines.Taste like a mild bullhead and has the same texture,do not freze just skin then cut them in four inch chunks soak for overnight or a few hours in some salty ice water and roll in cornmeal dip and deep fry they are qiute good
