Missing Fisherman White River ... Indianapolis Area

    MISSING: Tony Jarret 6 foot 2 inch'es 180 pounds 54 years old. Last seen at University of Indianapolis and was going fishing at the river. He was wearing a blue stocking cap, red plaid shirt, blue jean jacket with a blue collar, blue jeans and black tennis shoes. This person had said he was going fishing on Tuesday at 11:30 am and has not been seen since. He was walking and could be anywhere along the river in the Indianapolis area. Anyone who has seen this person please contact Detective Price IPD at 317-327-6613. Lets find this guy everyone !! Westside Bait & Tackle is organizing a search party. You can contact them at: 317-636-6236

    Plan on meeting at the baitshop Sat. morning about 7 - 7:30 am to try and search

    That's horrible. Hopefully he didn't go in. I'll tell some buddies of mine that live in that area. Do you know if the river was flowing heavy or not? Good Luck!

    That is just awful. Hopefully they will find him and soon.Doesn't sound like he was dress any too warm. Thoughts and prayers being said .Keep us posted on the search.

    Tuesday weather was very warm in upper 60's before this cold front came through

    Water wasnt up then but it sure is now.

    Several of us from searched this morning for about 4 hours.

    No luck or sign of anything

    Water very high and moving fast

    Hate to say it but be on the look out for anything south of Indianapolis the way the water is moving if the worst happened

    Going back out in a few days when water recedes back into its banks

    This is the first I've heard of this, there hasen't been anything in the news. I hope he's alright.

    WISH tv channel 8 ran it yesterday and also have it on thier website

    FOX 59 also covered it yesterday

    The fisherman who we had been searching for has been located. He is alive and well. I have no further details. Thanks to all who participated in the search. Johnetta Jarret also wanted to thank all of you for your support. Thank You Jim Donlan - Westside Bait & Tackle

    i couldnt imagine anyone i kno just disappearing like that along a river. rivers are one of THE most dangerous things on earth if you ask me. water is unpridictable and you can live on a river or be on a river your whole life and not be anymore safe then the next guy that comes along thats on his first fishin trip in my opinion.
