Minnow Sponge Bait

Instead of throwing dead Minnows away after a day's fishing keep them in a jar and allow them to decompose untill only an oily residue remains. Cut a 1 inch square piece of sponge and impale it on a hook or buy the hook's with the sponge already on them. Then push the hook into the goo with a sick the sponge absorbs the goo and stays on the hook well when cast.
