Thanks guys. I've never spent time in the service, but my entire family has. I guess if I wasnt such a fat lard I would have. Thats no excuse though. To be honest sometimes I feel ashamed that I didnt, I guess its hard to explain. +2 Rep to all of you, and thanks again. Lets also remember those whose served and are unable to post on her ebecasue they gave the ultimate sacafice.

I was in the Army, two years 9 months and 18 days. I joined in 1990 under a two year plus training deal they had. I was a 63S which is heavy wheel mechanic, plus I had the H8 identifier, Vehicle Recovery Specialist. Wouldn't trade those years for nothing. Vern

Sorry forgot to comment on the decal idea.I personally do not feel we need any additional recognition although I greatly appreciate the thought. We veterans simply did what was necessary, when it was necessary to do it and young Americans continue to step forward today.Rather than place a decal next to my profile I would would prefer you take the time to write a letter to someone serving today or to the widow or family of someone that gave their all for us.Knowing the folks back home love and support you 100% makes the impossible ,possible when you are in a foxhole facing the enemy.Your local VFW can help you find someone to write to and I promise you it will be a ray of sunshine to that person when they receive it.Thanks :D

I was going to join the air force a ways back but ended up at a caterpiller dealer in clk. tn, Thompson machinery. My father spent a little over 30 years in. He volutarily went to Vietnam for two tours. My brother was in the navy for 7 seven years, was on the USS SARATOGA aircraft carrier. Served in desert storm. We must never forget all of our armed service men and women they are the reason we are the greatest country in the world. Thanks for all they do. I salute you.
