As I look over the posts, it strikes me quite a few members are military vets, or active duty now. So what branch were you in, what was you unit, when were you in, are what did you do (if you can tell)?

I was in the Air Force from '76-'80, Shaw AFB SC, part of the 363 Tactical Recon Wing. Was part of the 363th ATH (Air Transportable Hospital), the Air Force version of MASH.................the times we had!

Getting stationed at Ft. Riley, KS on the September 10th. So far I've been stationed in ALaska and Hawaii........Right now I'm just enjoying my leave at home here in Illinois. Thats about all I got for now.

USN, 60-62, ( honorable medical discharge) USS Franklin D. Roosevelt CVA42 aircraft carrier, hook runner V2AG.

I was the one on the flight deck that made sure the hook from the planes was disengaged from the arresting gear cables as the planes landed. Saw a lot of plane crashes up there.
