Kaw Point. Down in the fairfax area. Where the Kansas and the Mo meet.

Depends on what you're after. Put some time in on it and learn it and to me there's no better place to be than on a river, whether the fish are biting or not.

If you're looking to put a 50# fish in the boat at the first spot you anchor at, probably not. Don't get me wrong, it's the river, anything is possible, but it does take a bit of getting used to. And about the time you get it, the dang thing will change on you. That's what makes it fun!

Not sure where you're at in KC, but Kaw Point is a good access like River_Runner said. Riverfront park ramp is nice, but it closes at 10PM I think. If you're on the East side of town La Benite park is a good ramp. Farley is a good ramp as well.

    Good luck with it!
