Q: What level Reputation do I start Out At?

A: 0 (Zero)

Q: How many posts must a member have before his reputation hits count on others?

A: 5

Q: How much reputation must a member have before his reputation hits count on others?

A: 5

Q: How many reputation clicks can a member give over each 24 hour period?

A: 20

Q: How many different members must you give reputation to before you can hit the same person again?

A: 10

Q: When do the little green circles get added?

A: For every 100 points lost or received

Q: Whats the quick way you can find your level?

A: Hold your mouse over a reputation dot, and read the alt text that appears.

Reputation Facts:

For every 180 days, members gain 1 point of reputation-altering power.

For every 500 posts, members gain 1 point of reputation-altering power.

For every 150 points of reputation recived, members gain 1 point of reputation-altering power.

What Are the Reputation Levels:

Member Has Level -5 Reputation -600

Member Has Level -4 Reputation -500

Member Has Level -3 Reputation -400

Member Has Level -4 Reputation -300

Member Has Level -2 Reputation -200

Member Has Level -1 Reputation -100

Member Has Level 0 Reputation

Member Has Level +1 Reputation +100

Member Has Level +2 Reputation +200

Member Has Level +3 Reputation +300

Member Has Level +4 Reputation +400

Member Has Level +5 Reputation +500

Member Has Level +6 Reputation +600

Reputation Change:

Members can now see the last (5) reputation entrys they have been given in their User CP.

This was requested by numerous members to enhance the system and to ensure the system retains its effectiveness.

At no time should one member harass another member because they have received a negative reputation click. If the reason is given, great, if not, it is not required, more than likely they do not agree with your posting style.

Paul, i don't quite understand this one. Q: How many different members must you give reputation to before you can hit the same person again?

I like the feature, who wasn't interested?

None of the reputation dots show anything but 0 to me.

abilene,

It means that if you just gave positive or negative reputation to a member, you cant give anymore to that same member until you have gave some to at least 10 other members.

Its a control measure to prevent someone who is temporarily upset from hammering a member over and over.

Each dot represents 100 reputation points collected, either positive or negative. For every 100, you gain a dot.

Digital Value of reputation status is now displayed to the right hand side of the image representation.

Look for the number to the right hand side of the green dot(s) on a member. Red dot if in negative territory.

but what is the true purpose behind the rep system?
is it the one with most points win?
or is a just to see how an indivisual has been rated by his peers??

this may sound dumb but how do you give to someones rep level? i feel dumb when i get rep points but cant cant give any.

You look up at the top right corner of a post and it's the little thing on the left side of the little caution sign it looks like a little scale or something. You click on it and a little window pops up and you click one of the following:

"I agree with this post"

"I disagree with this post" disagreeing with a post will give that person a neg rep point.

Swampy, it takes about 450,000 rep points for that one. Rod and reel combo is about 900,000. LOL Hope this helps!

They know who gave it to them, for example, if I give you a rep point it will have my name, and the comment I left, If I left a comment.
