Oilfield work. Sometimes winter was cold but it really didnt bother me. I left the house once and it was warmer in Calgary than when I left my house. Changing a flat in -40 was tough though.

That's colder than I have felt in my part of Canada (luckily, I live in the most southern part of Canada where it's not as cold). The coldest I have ever felt is an -15F air temp and -40F with a wind chill, and that was cold enough for me! I may live in Canada, but I hate the cold. lol

I just updated my user pic. It's not a big one by any means, but it's just a pic of me with a pretty little channel cat I caught out of my aunt and uncle's 1/2 acre pond in Ohio about 20 years ago. :)

My apologies for not replying, guys! I wasn't trying to avoid anyone! I don't seem to be receiving most notifications from people for some reason...

Very cool. Yeah, B.C. is arguably one of the most beautiful areas of Canada. There are so many though! I'm glad you enjoyed your stay! :) What brought you to Canada? Were you here for school or something?

Yeah, those places in Alberta are a couple thousand miles to my northwest. lol I guess you were there to work the oil fields, huh? I loves me some liver n' onions too. Just as long as it's served with gravy and a side of mashed 'taters! ;) But yeah, the bugs here in Canada are legendary. It can be an utterly harrowing experience in many areas up here. lol Where I live, depending on what part of the bug season you're in, there are mosquitos, black flies, no-see-ums, deer flies AND horse flies, or a combination of any of those five. Fun times! lol Here's a video from the territory of Nunavut in the Arctic. It's NO JOKE in some areas up here. lol...
