Anyone ever fish the convergence of the Mississippi and the Illinois rivers? Any luck? Where is the boat launch? Is it shallow or deep?

I haven't fished there.. The boat ramp is in Grafton.. I usually fish south of there at Piasa Creek launch.. The water is too low at Piasa to launch anything but john boats right now.. The water is up at Grafton..

    Yes, a few times.

Some, nothing overly exciting to report though.

    Downtown Grafton.

Yes! There are both kinds of habitat, the main channel is relatively deep and fast, but it gets very shallow in some places in that area.

I haven't had enough lucky there to add much more than that. Between and behind some of those islands there are some deep holes worth checking out.

The both rivers are up, muddy and full of trash right now, so fishing might be tough.

Thanks guys, on the map it looks like a great spot, but I have never met anyone that fishes there, I fish out Piasa creek all the time and it gets tricky there and I have always looked north but never tried it out.
