Anyone out there tried the McCoy braided line? I've used the mono almost exclusively in recent years for bass and steelhead, but have yet to try the braid. In all honesty, I'm pretty much a virgin when it comes to the braided lines. Never used one.

I'm planning on doing some muskie fishing this weekend and was looking for some new line and came across the McCoy.

    Thanks in advance!

McCoy makes pretty good mono, my favorite mono is Maxima Ultra Green. As far as braid the PowerPro is really strong and is coated as to not frey as easy and also makes it cast decent. The braids work best with level wind reels over the spinning reels. I do have 1 spinning reel with PowerPro and you just have to be careful when casting and you need to mage sure when reeling in that the line is not too loose. The level winds are more foregiving on those issues. PowerPro is used by many here on the BOC. For Cats I recommend the 65/16.
