I got out this evening for a short while and found the bite to be slow. We had a cold front come in overnight as well as a high pressure system. After catching ample shad, the first spot I fished was the only productive spot of the night. The first fish I landed was a flatty around 9 pounds. I had one shad about 6 or 7 inches that I put on live and threw out on the deepest side of a ledge I was fishing. After about an hour that rod was simply slammed. The fish immediately swam toward the boat upstream with me having to crank the Ol' Penn 210 very fast to catch up. One the slack was caught up, the fight was on. After a nice tug of war session, I landed a nice blue that weighed 23.15. Here are a couple pictures of the blue for your enjoyment. rspd507
