last week it all looked good, and the campers pulled in (they had 1 day of good fishin )and then the rain and thaw came and the water came up and they stayed and fished every day they could (HATS OFF 2U Guys )
water is now getting to normal in both rivers,
if your coming up from south of here get plenty of floating purp. and pink jigs because all are out up here and they are the hot ticket so far/ like B.wood

How do you rig a floating jig?

A floating jig gives you 1 big advantage (you can determin the debth the jig operates ) Think of using a bobber only in revers. a SMALL splitshot placed 1ft from the jig will keep it off the bottom and in front of the fish ,(unlike lead) if you increase the distance between the the floating jig and small splitshot the higher your jig will go.

Waterwalker, the whitebass have not started yet ,but I love catching them when they do ,(WOW what fast action) But ill post when it starts ,usually the first or second week of April they realy take off.
we had alot of fun with them after the run on the lake all summer just follow the gulls to the bait fish trying to get away from them THE WATER JUST BOILS with whitebass and bait fish, it happens several times a day , and it doesnt matter what you throw they just hit anything .
