maumee river

    whats the best times and months to catch the maumee river bigguns??

    I prefer may, june, july for flatheads.

    May,June,September, and early October are best for bigguns for me.

    thanks for the info. i'll definately be out there at them times.i got one of those little cabins at marry jane thurston on reserve for the wife and kids on the weekend of july 31.you thank we'll have any luck around that time? thanks again, shane

    Flats can be caught at any time during the warm water season.
    The maumee has flatheads in virtually its entire length. If your throwing appropriate bait which you are your going to get bit. I really think you just need to stay at it for bigger fish. 20-30 pounders are possible anywhere along the maumee so just keep at it. Good luck!
