Wasn't going to go out tonight but Randy called and Shandell had just lost a nice one that wrapped a log. I get out there about 12. Another buddy was out there, Jamell, and was his 2nd time out for flats and had never caught one before. About 1:30 Jamell got a good hit and hooked a fish. He said it wasn't very big as he started to reel it in. He got it to about 3 ft from the bank and the line went ripping off his reel. After about a 10 min battle, Jamell landed his first flathead ever, a 37 lb 4 oz. We turned it loose as soon as pics taken.
