    Hey former Hoosier,
Just keep fishing for bait lol, sissy fishing. Make sure you freeze me some of that bait so we can do some real fishing when you finally return to your senses and come home.

Well you were definately right about that well diggers a$$ lol!
What made it worse was- we didnt even get a nibble...... just wasnt in the cards. I started off the day feeling sick... even had to pull over once 'cause I thought for sure I was gonna lose my breakfast:eek:oooh: (THAT was weird) I just didnt feel right all day long. I feel bad that I was a terrible partner for my buddy blazerjet.... I'll make it up to ya bro.... I promise!

    Bill,
Sorry to hear that it wasnt a good trip. Fishing has been weird down there for some reason. Better luck next time. Hope you get to feeling better.

Our luck wasn't much better. We fished Sunday below the dam. We were the only boat out there. No wonder. We drifted, anchored, tried everything. No fish.

River was 40 degrees and rolling good. Does anybody here do well fishing below dams in the middle of winter? Or do you move downriver to deeper, calmer holes?

Greg: welcome to the BOC. As you are probably already aware, you will find a lot of good people and info on this site. As for dams during the winter, traditionally, spring is the best time to fish the dams because the cats swim upstream to spawn and congregate at the dams. That said, I am not saying that you can't catch fish around them in the winter, just that winter is not the best time to fish the dams.
