I heard somewhere that they no longer allow folks to bank fish near the dam...anyone know anything about the validity of this? was gonna go there, but don't want to waste a trip.

I know that i fished there last year. Went to vevay last month but did'nt make it to the dam. I was going to try it out the next time i go, so i hope not.

Yeah, I was going to head down to the park there in Vevay, but a friend said that they don't allow you to get down to the banks.

A few weeks ago, the banks were underwater. There were guys fishing on the bank last Sunday night though. We've had a lot of rain this week so am sure the river will be coming up again. About the No Fishing on the banks, I havent heard that from anyone here but will ask on my way home tonight.

In the DNR's fishing guide it does actually say no "shoreline" fishing for the area by the Markland park...
